Laurens County is home to a very important Revolutionary War battle—the Battle of Musgrove Mill, located outside of Clinton, SC, off Interstate 26. This site is now a State Park with beautiful trails and hosts living history reenactments throughout the year. Laurens County also shares part of Lake Greenwood and is a haven for outdoor activities. Many scenic and lush trails, including part of the Palmetto Trail, can be found throughout the county. Presbyterian College calls Clinton, SC, home. This college is one of the best known liberal arts institutions in the Southeast. Downtown Laurens, SC, boosts amazing dining options, a brewery, antique stores, a neat coffee shop and a crepe restaurant.
