Lake Greenwood
This 11,400 acre lake has 212 miles of shoreline. Recent years have brought considerable development around the lake, which is becoming a choice residential and retirement area for Greenwood and Laurens counties. It’s a popular spot for fishing, boating and many other water activities.
Lake Russell
Lake Russell is a 26,650-acre lake which stretches 30 miles up the Savannah River to Lake Hartwell Dam. Visitors can enjoy fishing and other water activities in a pristine setting with abundant wildlife, maintaining a diverse habitat for warm-water, cool-water, and even cold-water sport fish.
Lake Thurmond
Lake J. Strom Thurmond is located on the border of South Carolina and Georgia on the Savannah River. This 42,564 acre reservoir is one of the nation’s largest inland bodies of water, touching Georgia and several South Carolina State Parks.
