McCalla Wildlife Management Area near Iva in Abbeville County is an approximately 5660-acre tract that is the result of an agreement with U.S Army Corps of Engineers, South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR). Popular with deer hunters, McCalla WMA also includes a 620 special use area off-limits to hunting with 10 miles of designated horse riding trails along the edge of Lake Russell.
