South Carolina has a long history with moonshine, and the Old 96 District micro-distilleries carry on that tradition. Stop by the tasting room at Carolina Moon Distillery in Edgefield and sample concoctions like Ten G’s vodka (named for the ten governors/lieutenant governors that came from the county) and Rabbit Spit moonshine (“mean enough to make a rabbit spit in a bulldog’s face!”). Good Times Brewing in Uptown Greenwood takes great pride in their over 20 craft beers, including their Blood Moon IPA. Read more about each location here.
